Professional Mobile Auto Detailing and Reconditioning Services
What is Mobile Auto Detailing?
Well, detailing itself could be described as the systematic way in which various chemical compounds and techniques and procedures are used together to recondition your car in to an as "close to showroom new" as is possible.
We are striving for nothing less than trying to restore the original factory finish of your cars paint, leather, cloth, plastic and metal surfaces. These differing, demanding surfaces require a multi-material, multi-media and multi-knowledge handling in order to look their best.
We do all of this from our mobile detailing setup: we have all of our products, tools and materials ready and waiting to travel to you for your detail anywhere in Orange County or Los Angeles County. See our Mobile Detailing Service Area for more info.
Platinum Plus Mobile Detailing is by no means your average detailer. We have the initial professional training and ongoing education that is literally second to none. Do yourself a favor and ask around. You can read more about the history of Platinum Plus Mobile Detailing here.
I am proud to have studied under Mel Craig of www.thetotalpros.com of Oceanside, CA and I continue to consult with him when circumstances arise that would benefit from his many, many years of experience. See also www.rightlook.com. It's great to have a mentor and I'm glad to have Mel Craig as mine!
We had a situation recently while we were detailing a sailboat (yes, we detail all kinds of boats, jet skis and other personal water craft). The owner had let the oxidation go on for too long and it had eaten through the Gel Coat. Once that has happened the only answer is to have a completely new Gel Coat applied which is like a whole new paint job.
While we are constantly striving to be our best but every once in a while we run up against real limits in terms of what can be restored. Don't wait, many times putting off something only makes it worse so call us now while we can still effect a positive outcome. Call Platinum Plus Mobile Detailing at 714-614-1691 today.
Here is a quick thumbnail of the Detailing Schedule that we recommend to keep your vehicle looking good and retaining the maximum resale value:
Minimum: Once a year
Ideal: Twice a year with a Mini-Detail in between that conditions the upholstery and leather.
Maximum: More than once a month is probably too much.
Detailing is NOT car washing! While it does include washing your car it is MUCH, much more than that. Unfortunately there are a lot of uneducated and inexperienced people out there who don't know anything or just enough to be dangerously over confident. They will use glazes and fillers that look good for a short time, usually until the car gets wet or is washed for the first time and then they wash away. A good detail job should "spring back" after its first wash to a "just detailed" look. That is how you will know you got you money's worth.
Another popular misconception is that Armorall is good for leather. Armorall is for tires only! It can actually cause leather to dry, split or crack if used on leather. It's better to leave leather alone or wash it with a cloth dampened, not soaking, with warm soapy water than it is to use Armorall on leather.
There are many cheap cleaning products out there that claim to be "all purpose" or to work great on given surface. Be very skeptical and even more careful because they can actually make MORE damage, even when they're advertised to repair that exact damage. Many will leave the surface chalky white, cracked and dry once their initial moisture has evaporated. So beware of labels that say "Use anywhere!".
By having your car professionally detailed you also save the time it would take you do do it yourself. Because we do detailing all of the time we have the right tools and materials to get it right on the first try, in less than half the time it would take you to do it yourself. If all of this sounds like a lot of work, you're right! So call Platinum Plus Mobile Detailing at 714-614-1691 today.
In the future Platinum Plus Mobile Detailing will be offering a "How To" clinic for the serious "do it yourselfer". If you're interested just email us at info@orangecountymobiledetaling.com for info.
